  • Erika M. Summers, MD has a specialized expertise in laser and aesthetic dermatology. She is the Director at the Ļć½¶ŹÓʵ of Utah Department of Dermatology's Division of Cosmetic Dermatology. She trains the medical staff and aestheticians in the cosmetic division to provide safe and cutting-edge treatment for her patients. She creates comprehensive treatment plans for her patients incorporating neuromodulators (e.g. Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport), fillers (e.g. Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra, Silikon, Bellafill), and lasers (e.g. fractional CO2, Fraxel Dual, pulsed dye laser, IPL, Picosure) to treat aging, acne scars, rosacea, vascular malformations, and photodamage with non-surgical techniques. She also performs sclerotherapy to treat spider veins on the legs and is adept with CO2 resurfacing for acne scars, traumatic scars, and reversal of signs of aging. Dr. Summers trains the Dermatology residents at the Ļć½¶ŹÓʵ of Utah in the cosmetic portion of their curriculum involving filler and neuromodulator injections, as well as lasers. In 2014 she received a prestigious Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award to train with two of the leading laser specialists in the United States.



    In addition, Dr. Summers is Director of the Ļć½¶ŹÓʵ Inpatient Dermatology Service at the Ļć½¶ŹÓʵ of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Institute, overseeing the residents in caring for hospitalized patients with complex or life-threatening dermatologic conditions. She also enjoys caring for general dermatology and medical dermatology patients in her clinics.

    Dr. Summers is amazing! I love how much she cares for her patients and shows genuine concern for their feelings. She goes out of her way to make sure her patients are happy with the results of their treatments. If something isn't satisfactory, she does everything she can to make sure it is.

    Dr Summers is a kind and amazing Dr. She has been treating my varicose veins for several years and they are disappearing. They used to be so painful, but not anymore! Her staff is friendly and they take good care of me.
